About Me

I am currently pursuing an MPS in Data Science at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). With 2 years of experience, I have built and deployed systems in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Data Science, and have expertise in Cloud Architecture. In 2021, I was honored as a Special Young Achiever for my research and innovation by GITAM, a deemed-to-be University.

I am deeply passionate about harnessing data to create positive social impact and address real-world challenges. In my role as a data engineer at the Maryland Department of Health, I handle and analyze vast amounts of health data using big data analytics and AWS services. My contributions have directly facilitated data-driven decision-making, enhancing health outcomes across the state.

In addition to my professional roles, I have over three years of experience as the Founder and CEO of my own startup. Here, I have crafted innovative data-driven solutions for various domains. My efforts have been recognized, as evidenced by my being a finalist in the T-Hub Covid-19 Innovation Challenge and a Domain Warrior in the Microsoft HackonAzure Challenge.

My educational foundation is rooted in electrical, electronics, and communications engineering. I have also contributed to academia with a publication in an international journal. This publication centers on a pioneering project aiming to improve communication for individuals with disabilities. Furthermore, I hold multiple certifications in data science, IoT, digital circuits, and have been honored in various hackathons.

My project experiences span several industries, including Health-Care, Agriculture, Retail & E-Commerce, Manufacturing, and Automobiles.

Analyzing School Announcements: Categorization and Frequency Prediction

In this project, we aim to analyze a dataset containing information about school announcements made by staff and faculty members. the objective of this project is to provide insights into the types and frequency of school announcements. This information can be used to improve communication strategies and ensure that important information is effectively conveyed to the school community.

Image Processing Data

Big Data Image Processing using Distributed Computing

To study numerous ways numerical algorithms are applied to digitized images and use the distributed method to perform image processing tasks. Implemented the distributed approach for executing image processing tasks; Performed Image compression and Image classification to analyze time and other parameters. Served as the Senior Support Analyst responsible for HOG-SVM for Image classification, execution of Hadoop and PySpark versions of the HOG-SVM, and distributed Training of Alex Net for pedestrian image classification.

Work Experience

Data Analyst Intern - Maryland Department of Health (June 2023 - Present)

• I focused on data related to behavioral health to discover patterns and conduct correlation analyses, aiming to enhance operational results.
• Worked with cross-functional teams to develop targeted interventions and improve processes to reduce the risk of adverse events..
• Developed complex SQL queries and Python scripts to clean, transform, and aggregate data from disparate sources, including electronic health records and claims data.

Data Analyst - Cognizant Technology Solutions (Jun 2021 - May 2022)

• Manage, store, and retrieve varying amounts of data from S3.
• Execute virtual server launches depending on requirements using EC2; Configure security and networking and manage storage.
• Control the component interaction used to create extract, transfer, and load (ETL) workflow with AWS Glue and PySpark.
• Maintain scaling up and down to handle changes in requirements; Administer EMR clusters that run big data frameworks on AWS to process and analyze vast amounts of data.

Research Intern - National Institute of Technology, Warangal (Oct 2020 - Jan 2021)

• Researched Image classification concepts; Explored new algorithms on Image classification; Set up GPU’s, Clusters and nodes in lab environment, documentation
• Conducted Image compression for 1 crore images; Replicated 121,856 images to get larger sized datasets.
• Acquired deeper understanding of Distributed deep learning, CBIR image compression, HOG+SVM, Pyspark, and Bigdata.
